Art & Soul is seeking a freelance social media and marketing assistant to begin a contract of 2 days per month (flexible) in January 2023. There is scope for this contract to be increased, should further funding be secured. The social media and marketing assistant will:
Develop and deliver Art & Soul’s marketing plan and strategy
Leading on marketing for Art & Soul’s programme (including writing and managing blogs, creating videos, online workshops, social media campaigns)
Creating and mailing the Art & Soul newsletter using Mailchimp or similar
Lead on marketing for exhibitions and other projects
Create promotional material and publicise Art & Soul’s programme to attract new participants
Liaise with practitioner team and participants to feature artists regularly on social media
Update and manage the Art & Soul website using Wix
Other marketing/admin tasks as required and discussed
Person specification:
Creative ability to devise and create eye-catching posts for social media
Ability to write for range of audiences including social media posts, press releases and promotional material
Awareness of mental health issues and able to sensitively liaise with Art & Soul’s participants
An interest in the arts and mental health
A flexible and can-do attitude
This role is paid at £20 per hour and is expected to take two days per month. This is a flexible role funded until 31st March 2023 and will begin 16th January 2023. It is expected that work will fluctuate depending on project i.e. in the lead up to exhibitions, and the candidate will be expected to manage their time. This is a self-employed role and the candidate will be required to pay their own tax and national insurance. The successful candidate will need a DBS check (can be arranged).
