Reflecting On Art & Soul's 'Inner Transformations'

Earlier this year at St Mary's Church, Twickenham, ‘Inner Transformations’ brought together exhibiting local artists with over 50 artworks on display.

Officially opened by the Mayor Elect of Richmond Upon Thames, Cllr Richard Pyne, we raised funds for the artists and for the charity to continue its work. The exhibition also featured an art for wellbeing workshop, where locals were encouraged to express their creativity.

Speaking on the atmosphere of the evening, he shared:

"The private view of the Art and Soul exhibition was a poignant gathering, showcasing the powerful works of artists who have navigated mental health challenges. Upon arrival, the atmosphere was filled with a mix of anticipation and introspection. Each piece told a story, reflecting the diverse experiences and emotions of the artists."

"The lighting was soft, casting a warm glow over the art, allowing viewers to connect intimately with the pieces. As I moved through the space, I captured moments of engagement, where attendees paused to absorb the narratives depicted in the artwork. Expressions of contemplation, empathy, and understanding were prevalent, reinforcing the exhibition's theme of healing through creativity."
